Space Ghost

On the Space Ghost “Lovesick” episode there’s a segment with a cow. My question is: did anyone else notice that someone in the background is spraying something on the cow’s ass in the ranting scene? The bit where the cow (note, it’s a cow, though a male voice is used — go figure) is going off on the crew.

WHAT is being sprayed on that cow and WHY?

Bah!

I told myself I wouldn’t do it… I wouldn’t succumb to Quiz Temptation any more… but I just couldn’t help doing this one.

Funny, I was sure I’d be Michael.

No more 13 hour work days.

I can’t take it. My temper is so short right now, and I’m restless while fatigued. Hate that feeling. Some friends are going bar-hopping in the neighborhood, and as much as I’d love to join them, I can’t think of anything I would rather NOT do at the moment. Rotten show tonight, rude, stupid crowd, and assloads of drama.

Then I come home to three overturned trash cans inside my house (thanks, dogs) and — to top it off — the place flooded due to a broken sprinkler head in the yard.

My house is *stinky*.

Seven more weeks, and I’m sane again.

Mission accomplished.

is finally functional. Huzzah!

A green and blue planetary firecracker under my ass.

Beware: this is a damn long post, and I don’t feel like using an lj-cut. Neener.

I’ve been bagging tickets for Marilyn Manson, Slayer and Godsmack all morning, and I am in dire need of a sanity break. Therefore, I’m going to blather about a few things that I’m pretty damn excited about: my garden, the comic and the Lab.

My garden is kicking ass, especially considering the ghastly effect that the heat wave had on it. KICKING ASS, I tell you… particularly my shade garden. Who knew that I could love a Tasmanian tree fern so much? One of these days I’m going to have to take some snapshots. Hell, I’m so damn pleased with my nicotiana that I don’t even care that half my shipments in August vanished. I love my passion flower vine so much so that my affection for it is drowning out my irritation at not having consistant email access for over three months.

After the 4th story revision, we are finally well on our way with the comic. Although I was happy with the first drafts, they didn’t feel anywhere near as inspired as the final, and oddly enough I have Pulp to thank for it. The artistic epiphany that I experienced that sleepy morning on the way to work while listening to “Underwear” somehow changed the tone, the character emphasis, and the nature of the conflict all for the better. There is a cohesion suddenly that the story arc was lacking, and consequentially, I finally feel truly inspired. If the current momentum keeps up between me, Ted, and our respective muses we should have all three of the preliminary issues ready by the time APE rolls around.

Jarvis Cocker, thank you.

I am pleased.

Once we’re midway through the second installment, I need to start seriously considering our merchandising options. People love tchotch.

This bit here will be cross-posted in later today:

I’ve been working on a ton of updates for the Lab, and for a while there I think I may have been spreading myself too thin. Ever since we kicked in a massive impetus and coordination operation in the shop, everything seems to have finally begun to fall into place. Thanks to the balancing, harmonious influence of Venus and the majestic, expansive stimulus of Jupiter, the following changes and additions will be made in the next site update:

We are introducing a new perfume theme based on Shakespearean characters. These scents will embody the spiritual essence of their archetypical spirit, and we are starting it off perfumes created for Iago and Lady Macbeth.

– – –

The Lab is expanding its historical perfume selection with…

Chypre: A Medieval Eurpean formula, allegedly worn by Charles V.

Marie: Violet and tea rose: the chosen scent of Marie Antoinette.

Catherine: Named for the ambitious, vengeful poisoner Catherine deMedici.

– – –

Changes have been made to the formulas of the following blends:

Old Venice
Old London

What can I say? I’m Mercurial.

– – –

Because we love to experiment, there will be a limited edition perfume – 100 bottles made – that will be offered from Sabbat to Sabbat only.

– – –

In addition to the perfumes initially slated for inclusion in the Equinox update, the following will also be added:

Embalming Fluid
Hex
Old Rome
Villain

And two co-promotional perfumes: Red Witch and Wicked Smileys.

– – –

As the formulation for the Equinox perfumes reaches it’s completion, we’re looking forward to the Samhain update, and the perfumes that will be introduced at that time. A preview:

Old Athens
Old Cairo
Old Glasgow
Old Morocco
Old Prague

Desire
Eternal
Lightning
Myrrhinne
Noir
Rage
Thunder
Xiuhtecuhtli
Zombi

Desdemona
Lear
Oberon
Ophelia
Puck
Tamora
Titiana
Viola

Also, an expanded selection of Hoodoo blends.

– – –

We will be making some changes to the web site for the Equinox:

Artwork by our favorite twisted illustrators will be available as eCards.
Massive link update.
A loving welcome for Brian, the newest Lab Rat.

– – –

Our sister shops will not be incepted until the summer theatre season in Los Angeles comes to a close. No matter how much drive and enthusiasm I possess, nothing I do will increase the number of hours in a day.

Caveat: we’re out of Persephone, and will not be able to ship out any orders that contain that perfume for a week or so.

I’m such an idiot. I don’t think I’ve been moisturizing my new tat enough. Too much on my mind lately, and all.

Nina is going to kill me.

It’s been a very strange day at the office. I began a Venus / Jupiter operation last night, which probably has a great deal to do with today’s general feel. I don’t think I’ve been this far away from cynical in a very, very long time. It’s a much-needed respite from the beaten-to-shit feeling I’ve been wading through for the past several weeks.

Venus and Jupiter are a seemingly unlikely and uncomplimentary pairing, but I’m thrilled thus far.

And now for something completely different:

Because I love bizarre news stories almost as much as I love folk tales.

It’s a stream of consciousness kind of day.

Yes, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I’ve taken to astrally drawing Mercurial sigils on all of our outgoing packages. It’s amazing the lengths I have to go through to see to it that a parcel reaches it’s destination.

Time to watch ‘Friday’ and let my brain cells fizzle a bit. It’s been a very, very long day.
