Two Bodyheads, Paul Rumsey.
“I’ll tell you,” said she, in the same hurried passionate whisper, “what real love it. It is blind devotion, unquestioning self-humiliation, utter submission, trust and belief against yourself and against the whole world, giving up your whole heart and soul to the smiter–as I did!”
Happy birthday, Dickens.

I love this photo. Credit: LIFE.

Was reminded of this today — oddly, by an article in Mother Jones. I sure do love it, especially Revelation (natch).

I’ve been so busy the past few years that I haven’t really blogged. To be honest, I haven’t done much more than work, parent, and work some more. I had every intention of blogging up Lilith’s life so that I’d always remember… well, everything. It was just so difficult to pull off with the hours that I’ve been working. At the end of the day, I’ve just been drained dry. I’m making an effort to go back through Facebook and grab all the snippits of life I’d posted there and compile them in my blog.
It’s a daunting endeavor. Looking back through the years to 2008… I still seem to talk quite a lot, but only in tiny, tiny sentences.

I need to try this: Baked Egg in an Avocado.
Have any of you gardenin’ types had any luck controlling spider mites with these suckas? I’m thinking about picking some up for my mite problem (they’re already gathering on my jasmine), and getting some of the beneficial nematodes and lacewings, too, while I’m at it. Fun fact: lacewings have been my favorite insect since I was Lilith’s age.
