I made a pit stop this afternoon at the liquor store. The man behind the counter was staring at my chest. This, I’m used to. As I’m paying for my [desperately needed] Sugar-free Red Bulls, he says to me:
“That’s from the Key of Solomon.”
I realize that I’m wearing a t-shirt that I made ages ago that has one of the sigils of Venus on it.
“Yes, it is.”
“That is a symbol of Venus.”
“Yes…”

I was so taken aback by this unexpected conversation that I simply stammered ‘thank you…’

I thanked him again, and then I left.
