Fuckawesome Tuesday

2011 June 29

Had the most amazing time today. Disneyland in the morning with Lilith, Ted, and Grandma Sue, and then Neil’s event this evening at the Saban. Patton Oswalt did a fantastic job with the interview, and both he and Neil were tremendously witty, charming, and interesting. I had no idea that the Bilquis scene from American Gods could be so goddamn funny. Met Christopher Salmon, the filmmaker that’s adapting Neil’s short story, “the Price”. He was fantastic. Had a conversation with Patton Oswalt about the challenges of swimmer diapers and toddler-age appreciation of Jodorowsky, Fellini, and Von Trier. Also: Patton remembering all the stupid drunken shit I said to him when we first met wasn’t as embarrassing as it probably should have been. Got Neil hugs. Saw many, many people that I adore, and grieve that I missed seeing some friends that were in attendance. Got to spend some time with Kitty and Farley who I love so, so very much. Also: Ted looked mighty fine tonight. Now I’m going to go fondle my husband. All in all: a fuckawesome Tuesday.
