Mini rant on a rainy Saturday.

Daily Kos, you’re being a bit cynical. I played with Barbies – still do! – and playing with Barbies didn’t turn me into a vacuous turd or burden me with painful self-image issues. Honestly, I don’t see anything wrong with portraying Barbie in a position of power. I think that exposing our daughters and sons to dolls that are representative of strong women is a /good/ thing. So fucking what if she has long legs and a big rack? Women of power can’t be tall and large breasted? Do women have to dumb down their looks or charm in order to be taken seriously? I think that’s pretty fucking sexist, too. Is /that/ what we want to teach our children?

President Barbie is clutching the Bill of Rights, and that’s certainly not something you’ll see Sarah Palin doing any time soon, unless she’s using it as a wipe rag. Mark my words, I’d vote for a real plastic doll in a heartbeat before I’d vote for that nitwit. Go, President Barbie, go! Maybe your miniature Bill of Rights will inspire the future Senator Lilith Victoria Barrial (D-CA) to greater heights.
