My day didn’t start out too stellar. Ineloquently put: I’m sick of assholes.

Douchebaggery consumed a good portion of my day, which was un-fun, but I do believe there’s always a lesson buried in even the strangest and grossest moments in life. Tonight, I spent some quality time with my family, worked on some TAL projects, and did a bit of personal Yule’style hocus pocus. Then I watched someone call Newt Gingrich a “fucking asshole” to his face. Needless to say, the day was redeemed. Going to take care of a little more TAL work before bed. Then tea. Then a book, my blankie, and a snuggly husband.

After a surprisingly good night’s sleep, I wake up to massive work stress, people shooting themselves and their children because they cannot access social services, polar bears resorting to cannibalism because of food scarcity due to the decline in Arctic ice, Obama backing Sebelius’ decision to limit Plan B coverage, and the GOP filibustering middle class tax cuts *again* while proposing slashing unemployment benefits in exchange for that tax cut. I want to put a blanket over my head. Does anyone have some good news to share? I could use it.
